As mentioned in an earlier blog post, Crossroads for Women was chosen by Pierce Atwood LLP to be involved with its annual Day of Community Service. The event was supposed to take place today, but bad weather has postponed the day until Tuesday, July 24th. Mainers in the Greater Portland area can, however, still find out more about the partnership via the radio airwaves on Sunday, July 22nd.
Jennifer Barbour, communications specialist for Crossroad for Women, and Jennifer Whittier, director of marketing and client relations for Pierce Atwood LLP, will be on the Maine Points radio show. The half hour public affairs show airs between 5:00am and 6:00am (depending on the station you tune into) on all 6 of Portland Radio Group’s radio stations, including Coast 93.1 (FM), WPOR (101.9 FM), Big Hits Y100.9 (FM), 970 WZAN (AM), 560 WGAN (AM) and 1400/1490 The Bay (AM). Jennifer and Jennifer will talk with host Mike Violette about the vital work Crossroads for Women delivers every day, Pierce Atwood’s commitment to community service and how the two organizations make a good partnership.
