The Maine Hospital Association recently named Mark Publicker, MD the 2009 MHA Caregiver of the Year at the Association’s Summer Forum at the Samoset Resort in Rockport. Publicker is the medical director of the Mercy Recovery Center at Mercy Hospital in Portland, ME. According to Mercy’s website, Publicker was nominated by Mercy President and CEO Eileen Skinner who called him “a model physician and caregiver.”
We here at Crossroads for Women congratulate Mark. He is an exemplary representative for those of us in the addiction treatment field, whether he is working with a patient or presenting on the science of addiction. Crossroads and Mercy Recovery refer clients back and forth to each other, and Mark is always willing to help us out with clients when we ask. It’s nice to see his contributions to the field of addiction treatment are not going unnoticed. Congrats, Mark!
