Crossroads saves lives. This powerful and compelling statement came up several times when our board of directors gathered for their annual retreat, as they paused to reflect on their reasons for dedicating their time and efforts to volunteer for the organization.
Our generous supporters helped provide aid to 886 women and men who came through Crossroads’ doors to receive life saving treatment last year. It is this support and commitment that allows more women and men the opportunity to learn the tools needed to lead a healthy life. Your support is making the difference. This year we are raising funds for the newly created Barbara L. Dacri Scholarship Fund. 100% of the proceeds of this fund go directly to clients needing assistance to pay for treatment. 2014 marks Crossroads’ 40th anniversary. Our organization started as a women-only treatment center that addressed alcohol addiction. Throughout the years, we have been dedicated to gender-responsive treatment, well before the treatment field recognized this effective approach. Today, we serve both women and men using this evidenced-based treatment method. This approach guarantees that all our clients are treated with respect and their unique needs are met.
Like most treatment facilities, we’ve faced our share of challenges over the years. What has kept Crossroads in the forefront is its innovative approach to treatment and the ability to identify the populations that need to be served with the necessary treatment they require and deserve.
