Women lawyers from the Maine Bar Association and women physicians from the Maine Medical Association have joined forces to fight back the blues of winter with a unique day and a half retreat of fun and CLE credits.
This winter break will be a relaxing mixture of education and fun with friends and colleagues at the Black Bear Inn in Orono, Maine. The event starts on Thursday, February 26th with an evening of laughter with attorney-comedienne Karen Morgan.
The full day event on Friday, February 27th includes keynote educational speaker, Dr. Susan Blank, an addiction psychiatrist who will provide 2 hours of CLE ethics credit discussing the diseases of depression and substance abuse. Faith Sheehan, CCS, LCSW, Crossroads for Women’s outpatient supervisor, will present “The Effects of Addiction on Friends, Family and Colleagues.”
Beyond education, there will also break out sessions for yoga, massage, acupuncture and how to dress to feel better.
