Crossroads’ Children and Mothers Program Awarded $35,000 Grant from the Walmart Foundation
SCARBOROUGH, Maine (January 12, 2016) – Crossroads was recently awarded a grant of $35,000 from the Walmart Foundation for its Children and Mothers Program located in Windham, Maine. The funds will be used for capital improvements to this facility that houses pregnant women and mothers in treatment for addiction and behavioral health illnesses.
A check presentation is scheduled for Thursday January 14, 2016, at 1pm, at Crossroads’ Children and Mothers Program, Windham, Maine.
“A grant like this one from the Walmart Foundation is a true testament to the generous and compassionate support for women and children in the state. Crossroads’ Children and Mothers Program is the only one of its kind in Maine that provides residential treatment services for pregnant women and women with small children,” says Shannon Trainor, Crossroads’ CEO. “Crossroads has always prided itself in maintaining the highest quality facilities for its clients. This grant will allow us to make some much-needed improvements to our Windham facility while continuing to provide a safe, comfortable environment in which our clients can find recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.”
