The holidays can cause some major stress for people, especially those in recovery. Crossroads will be offering an outpatient therapy group for men that centers around managing the stress that comes with the holiday season.
Managing Holiday Stress will focus on how to develop and use effective coping skills to manage depression, anxiety and stress throughout the holiday season. Gender-responsive treatment issues will be explored in this men-only group.
The focus of the six sessions of this group includes:
- Goals and grounding techniques
- Self-care
- Setting boundaries dealing with negativity
- Constructing personal meaning
- Celebrating the new year
