Having a substance use disorder affects not only the individual abusing drugs or alcohol but also their entire life, especially their family and children. Unfortunately, many parents do not seek the help they need for their addictions because they do not have an alternate caregiver, or they fear that their children will be taken away from them. Being able to treat mothers with their children in residence is a unique opportunity. Research shows that people thrive during recovery when they have had their children involved in the therapeutic process.
Crossroads is proud to offer a program that helps mothers when they need it the most. To learn more about our rehab for women with children, please contact Crossroads today at 877.978.1667.
Children and Mothers Residential Program at Crossroads
CAMP is a children and mothers residential program at Crossroads. At CAMP, we provide a homelike setting for women and their children with extensive onsite addiction and mental health treatment services. Women can receive counseling, work on family relationships, make an aftercare plan, and even improve their parenting skills. These services are all in addition to getting the best medical care in a safe and sober environment. Our program focuses on helping women build the skills they need to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves and their families. The children and mothers residential program is a specially designed rehab for women with children. We know how important it is to have children be part of a parent’s recovery journey.
Benefits of Our Mother and Children Rehab
The children and mothers residential rehab program for addiction recovery encompasses childcare, parenting education, and a variety of services to assist mothers in their recovery and work towards a healthier lifestyle.
1. Parenting and Children’s Services and Assistance
Residents of the program work to develop the knowledge and skills they need to care for themselves and their children during treatment and recovery. A licensed, onsite daycare is available, and pregnant women can get assistance in finding medical and OB/GYN care, as well as take childcare classes. Expert medical staff monitors the mothers and their children to identify any potential medical or developmental concerns.
2. Family Support
Substance use disorders affect the entire family. During therapy, women work on how to build stronger family relationships through support activities. Each week, there is a Family Day where family members can visit with their loved ones and attend a group therapy session to understand more about substance use disorders, healthy boundaries, and how to best support the family in rehab.
3. Facilities Designed for Families
Creating a safe, healthy environment is the core of our women and children residential program. Women at our residential rehab can focus on their recovery when they don’t have to pay attention to other day-to-day distractions of life. The Crossroads treatment team works with each mother to create a plan that addresses their needs and makes them feel confident when they enter rehab and when they leave treatment. The goal is to provide the right support system to foster lifelong recovery.
